Past
IMD was born out of Grain and Feed Milling Technology magazine in 1991. It was fist published in a normal A4-format. In 2007 new owners Perendale Publishers Limited converted it into a handier size (with fold-back spiral binding) and brought it into the digital age by launching its online sister version of International Milling.

10,000 readers will use IMD's 20th print edition in 2011-12 - which has been distributed through individual mailings and via milling organizations and milling-related events that has ensured the highest caliber user views a copy.
This latest print edition has been personalised so that it is more useful on a day-to-day basis. Future
The future is here! We are proud to announce that IMD is going mobile - it will launch its mobile web application, Perendale Publications Limited Application (PPLAPP) for smart phones and tablets on Wednesday16th December, 2011. It will contain all the contact data of product and services suppliers that appear in our print and online editions for the feed, flour, rice and cereal milling industries.
PPLAPP will be available to download free-of-charge (from various points internationally) and will quickly become the number one hand-held, ready-to-use reference source for millers on the move all over the world. As soon as a company updates its details the PPLAPP will also update meaning no more out-of-date information for those on the move.
